Trendsetter Homes founder Ryan Cantrell is no newcomer to the home-building industry. A third-generation builder, Ryan is proud of his family’s building legacy, as well as his six-generations-deep roots in southwest Missouri. But while contemplating the direction he wanted to take his company, K.R. Cantrell Homes, in the twenty-first century, Ryan came to realize that the business he had built was bigger than just his name.
He knew he had built a home-building company that felt more like family, both to its employees and to its customers, and that his team loved helping homebuyers realize their American Dream as much as he did. But he also knew that, through constant reevaluation and thoughtful innovation over the years, they had become so much more.
That realization was the inspiration for the name Trendsetter Homes.
Pioneering Ideas That Homebuyers Love
In 2008 Ryan Cantrell pioneered the concept of allowing Springfield homebuyers to personalize their new homes with an array of customizing choices to suit their individual needs, desires, and style. Since that time, he has developed plans to enhance and improve the home-building experience, which will be implemented in 2019. Some of those improvements include offering scheduled, guided hard-hat tours for homebuyers while their home is under construction; easy, streamlined communication throughout the building process; and an online portal for scheduling post-closing warranty work, to name just a few.
Always Looking Ahead
Carefully evaluating the company’s methods and processes, Ryan was also able to realize efficiencies that allow him to offer the “Trendsetter Tech Package” with every home at no additional cost to the buyer. This very popular package features a security alarm system with a panel, exterior door sensors, and siren, with one-year monitoring included. It also offers an audio/video doorbell; smart door lock, thermostat, and lighting; Wi-Fi garage door; and two USB outlets.
While the company name and logo may have changed, our mission of building high-quality homes that delight the homeowner remains the same. As a company, we strive to be an industry leader in architectural and interior design, as well as materials, processes, and features. We are constantly evaluating what we need to do to stay ahead of industry standards and set ourselves apart.
